After the morning assembly students were involved in physical activities – Gardening, Martial Arts, Skipping, Dance, Aerobics, Yoga to name a few. All the students participated in Essay/Poem Competition on the theme "Fit India School".
The morning assembly was followed by 'Fitness Assessment' of students through Khelo India App. The Khelo India (school version) mobile app is exclusively developed for schools to assess the fitness level of the students. Poster making competition was held for high school students on the topic “Fit Body - Fit Mind - Fit Environment”. The Tug of War contest was held between students and staff.
The morning assembly was followed by free hand exercise for students of classes VI - IX. A yoga session of 15 minutes & traditional games like Kunte Bille, Kuntata and Lagori were conducted for parents and teachers. Students had a session of debate on "Physical fitness is better than mental fitness" and a symposium on the topic "Sound mind in a sound body".
As part of the FIT INDIA movement, the teachers and students of Classes 6 to 10, of Dr. M Ramanna Shetty Memorial English Medium High School performed Yogasanas, after the morning assembly. The students of Classes VI and VIII also actively participated in traditional games of Dakshina Kannada District, thereafter.
